Hello readers,
Today's post is about the tourist industry and how it revolutionized the Spanish coast and its capital. At this moment in time tourism gives 11% of Spains GDP . According to local sources more than 75 million people come to spain for a holiday with the Uk ,Germany and France giving a combined 40million tourists over half of its total.
I was wondering when all of this started and ik most families in the 80ies and on woulds have stories of Benidorm, Barcelona and the like. But as you guys know i like to do a little research and it mainly become popular in the 60ies making it one of the few places in the world where a country under power of a dictator was a tourist destination.
Ok back to tourism the most popular places in Spain excluding the capital are coastal such as Barcelona or Salou. But there is a few hidden gems there too for the not so touristy tourist such as Almadrava a little beach within a 20 min drive from Salou. there is more but you will have to find them.
In conclusion my dear readers northern spain has alot to offer if doesn't matter who you are or where u come from we will be waiting with a cold beer and a plate of Tapas as always have a chilled day from the White viking
