Todays post ladies and gentleman is about the most famous rivalry in Spain and by proxy Spanish football the "El clasico" .lets start with Barcelona
FC Barcelona
With a origin of Swiss English and Spanish footballers led by Joan Gamper you wouldn't expect the club to be very popular to the natives but over the years it has grown a cult following within the Catalonian community. As early as the 1920ies when the Catalonian government becomes more and more hostile to the capitol Madrid so the team become more and more a hub for Catalonian values and has continued ever since to be a beacon of Independence for Catalonia.
Real Madrid CF
Unlike their Barcelona counterparts this team was made by a grup of people called socios that still operate and own the team. In the year 1920 the king of spain bestowed apon them the title Real which means Royal and since then there famous emblem has a Crown on it
La Liga
Both of these teams have never been relegated in this league the only other is Athletic Bilbao.
In conclusion these giants of football have been Competing for over 100 years i believe they will be here for another 100 and to all my readers have a chilled day
