Fishermans tails Vol 4

Hi all thank you for the support for this blog as I said yesterday we hit 1k views our next target is 5k and I cant wait for that. Todays stories were told to me by a older gentleman in a little town near me.

The Fishathon

A few years ago all the local fishermen had a competition to see who could catch the most fish and to decide who got to go where they all put the names in a hat.  In the order they pulled their names out decided their position on the river so after everyone had their positions and the whistle blew and everyone cast off. A hour later a funeral procession crossed the river and one of the guys stopped took of his hat and held it agaisnt his chest as it went and sat down and the closest guy next to him said thats great that u stopped to do that and the original guy said its the least i can do i was married to her for 20 years.

The Armory

When I was a boy , my best friend and I were travelling through northern Spain and we were skint so we walked to the next town and saw a tracter in the middle of the road and a old guy trying to push it so we asked if he would need help so we psuh started the tracter and road into town to his house where we told him our situaction and he agreed if we fixed his tracter he will pay us so after another 3 hours we fixed it and saw the owner who was outside cleaning a WW1 rifle so as he turned it was pointed at us so he put our hands up scared (of which he laughed at us) . He said it wasent loaded then turned and it went off . A few minutes later he said you want to see the rest , so we followed him to his garage and he removed a grate and we desended into this room which was filled from floor to ceiling with every kind of bullet and rifle and grenades and shells from a lil pistol bullet to a armed to a 100kg naval shell we stood in silence for about 5 minutes just taking it in while he was explaining how he found it all which you will find out about next week

And as always people have a chilled day from The Viking
