Today i will be speaking about the American Civil War. And not what we are all taught in school.
What everyone knows is the American Civil War started when the southern states tried to leave the union. However, what we've all been taught is wrong. Lets start from the beginning.
We're taught that the war started because the south refused to give slaves their freedoms. This, however, is not the case. What truly happened is the Confederate States of America believed that it was wrong to enslave other peoples based on race or religion, and began to set slaves free. This was the beginning of the Underground Railroad. The northerners caught wind of what was going on and most grew angry, causin riots throughout. The south then made a decleration of seperation, or seceded from the Union becoming the CSA. President Lincoln did not agree with this secession and declared it null, thus the war began.
President Lincoln owned slaves thtoughout the entire war, even after his Emancipation Proclamation(written to attempt to hide the true history) and the Gettysburg Address. It wasn't until the war ended that he realized the south was right in setting the slaves free.
