According to a twitter poll you guys wanted more historical posts ( our new twitter account theewhiteviking ). So we at the white viking decided what was the most important historical events were and we choose the infamous Inquisition.
let us begin, in the year 1478 the Queen and King of Spain (in that order because she brought more to the marriage in terms of land even now in Catalan they call the Spanish language Castillian.) decided that they didnt want to live under the yoke of the pope so made some new rules to convert more people to cathlocism and ban Jews, Muslims and other non believers from the country.
Although records are incomplete more than 150000 people were charged with breaking these rules but only a few thousand ( 3000 to 5000) in total. When you think of the Inquistion you think of a horrible set of pro catholic torture devices but from our research they are overly ficticiuos thank you for reading today
