Topic of the Day 3

Hello ladies and gentlemen

today i have been thinking about how depending on your age you can get different licenses at different times aka that if you are american you cant drive under the limit that the country you travel through . aka if you are 16 and have a american lisence and want to drive here you have a snowballs chance in hell.

Even if you are over the age in some parts of Europe you need a other document which is inexpensive (around 20$) you do need passport photos though. This document is called the IDP which is the Internacional Drivers Permit. Which acording to my research is needed in Italy but not particually in Spain and France.

Another thought is at what age can you rent a car in Europe so i called a well known car rental place and the helpfull lady told me this if you are reading this thank you again.

  • 18 in Austria, Croatia, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden;
  • 19 in Estonia and Norway;
  • 20 in Bulgaria, Finland and Switzerland;
  •  21 in Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France (but 18 for the buyback lease program), Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and the United Kingdom;
  • 23 in Luxembourg.

In all cases, at whatever minimum age, drivers must have a valid driver's license issued at least a full year before the rental (two years in Ireland and Sweden)

I hope you all enjoied this post its the type where i can just let my mind go in it and as always have a chilled day from the viking.
