But the russians had something that the english had and have still probably aka the weather. The russian winter killed of everything that wasent used to it aka all the German army ground to a cold halt. Between that and the simplicity of the russian army for example almost all their vehicles had the same engine and there sheer quantity and cheapity of there army at the time it is thoose reasons that they utlametly won this battle and throw the axis back.
During the counter offencive stalin threw everything he had at them which was a astonishing 1.143.500 Men
