Hello ladies and gents today we are talking about comics and specifically The Xmen and to explain to us about this subject im introducing Connie of Comics.
X-Men
Connie: thank you for welcoming me sir today we are talking about the xmen and how they influenced our world as we know it today . It was first published in 1963 to a amazing uprising of popularity in the nerds of the world and ironcially Hugh Jackman the actor who plays wolverine ripped up a xmen comic when he was younger.
Ok back to the comic this group of people was created when stanless was asked to make a new comic and acording to him he was feeling lazy so he didnt write how they got their powers and just said they already had them and so began the mutant idea which has expanded into what it is today a wide spreading trope of movies comics and tv shows.
What was the real seller to people is that its about people who thought they were different in some way from the general populus mainly more intelligent or just "Different" and that helped because it made life better because the common joe whould think about bein a mutant and what powers they would have.
All in all good role models that helped the readers feel good about themselves with varied success in my opion i think they helped alot.
