ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY

This is all the info i can find from around the Web.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. It is the twentieth game and the eleventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2017's Assassin's Creed Origins. It is scheduled to be released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 5, 2018.

Gameplay

Assassin's Creed Odyssey places more emphasis on role-playing elements than previous games in the series. The game will contain dialogue options, branching quests, and multiple endings. The player will be able to choose the gender of the main character, adopting the role of Alexios or Kassandra. The player will also have the ability to develop romantic relationships with non-playable characters of both genders, regardless whether they choose to play as Alexios or Kassandra. The game features a notoriety system in which mercenaries will chase after the player if they commit crimes like killing or stealing from non-playable characters.

Both Alexios and Kassandra start the game as a mercenary and a descendant of the Spartan king Leonidas I. They inherit his broken spear, which is forged into a blade to become a weapon that grants the player special abilities in combat. The game uses a skill tree system that allows the player to unlock new abilities.[6] The three skill trees include "hunter", which improves player character's archery, "warrior" which puts emphasis on combat, and "assassin" which focuses on stealth. This replaces the system used in Origins, which granted the player a series of passive abilities.

Synopsis

The game's genetic memory story is set in 431 BCE, recounting the secret history of the Peloponnesian War, fought between the city-states of ancient Greece. The protagonist is a mercenary named Alexios or Kassandra who can choose to fight for either Athens and the Delian League or Sparta and the Peloponnesian League. The modern day segments will again follow Layla Hassan, who was first introduced in Assassin's Creed Origins, and her story will touch on the Isu.

The game is said to deal with the themes of "freedom versus order."

Plot
Ancient
The player takes control of a Spartan rejected by their family, making the journey from outcast mercenary to legendary hero, learning the truth about their past along the way. Their family line was prophesised to bring doom to Sparta, which leads to the protagonist being thrown off a cliff. 17 years later, the protagonist resurfaces, discovering a conspiracy against their family.

Modern
In the modern era, Hassan's quest to find Isu artifacts leads her to discover a book written by Herodotus that refers to a Spartan mercenary who had come into contact with Isu artifacts, and may have even wielded one

For me personally i have played every game which some i have loved more than others cough cough unity cough but i have a good feeling that this new direction that the teams have taken have saved this series and my family have alot of good memories about Greece im not a massive fan on the ancient boat stuff i actually want to board the ships not just sink them and with the choice of protaganists you can enjoy it from either gender without playing as both i hope they have the multiple saves inside the game like origins. What do you think and as always have a great day from the Viking/
