Horrible People Who Did Surprisingly Good Things Once In Their Lives

Bad people are human beings too.

And when you are human, it is very difficult to be a bad person throughout your life. Because we are built with conscience and a will to be happy. And since one cannot be happy with everyone else sad around them, even bad people end up doing some good in their lives.

Let us take a look at one of the most horrible people in the world, who caused this world a lot of suffering, but for a blink in a lifetime, did some good too.

1.General Butt Naked

You read that right. He is actually named General Butt Naked and he led the revolution in the African country of Liberia.

He was infamous for parading his child soldiers naked to wars and was also involved in a lot of rapes and cannibalistic rituals.

In 2006 he converted to Christianity and transformed into a good guy, taking care of child soldiers and making amends for his violent past.

2. Ted Bundy, the most famous serial killer actually helped people on suicide hotlines

One of the most infamous serial killers actually saved lives by taking their calls on a suicide helpline. He used his manipulative personality in convincing people that they should continue living.

And, like Hannibal Lecter, he also helped the police in catching a notorious serial killer too.

3. Jim Jones. the cult leader who caused a thousand suicides

Jim Jones was a leader of a notorious cult called People’s Temple. He somehow convinced almost 1000 members of the cult to commit suicide, which they all agreed to.

Before he pulled this shit, he did a lot of good things in his life.He spoke against nuclear weapons and against racism. He was also the director of the Human Rights Commission in Indianapolis.

4. Mao wrote poetry, and also no country invaded China after that

Not many accuse him of genocide, but Mao Zedong was responsible for millions of deaths, just like Stalin and Hitler. Mao also had people killed who didn’t believe in his ideology.

But inside this genocidal exterior was a poet and a reformer. He wrote many beautiful poems and reformed a war-torn China into the powerhouse it is today.

5.Francisco Franco, the Hitler of Spain

Franco was in the same league as in Hitler when it came to atrocities committed against innocent people.

Franco was responsible for thousands of deaths but had a softer side to him. After he died, many good paintings were retrieved from his personal chambers. 

Turns out, he was a good painter and his grandson spoke very highly of him.
