Hello ladies and gents this is the Viking telling you that today we are talking about
Smoky Scotch Cocktail With Rum and Molasses Bitters
No tobacco is used, but this recipe is meant to evoke pipe tobacco, explains Kevin Peterson, co-owner of Castalia, a fragrant cocktail bar in Detroit. (By day, it’s a fragrance store. By night, it converts in an 18-seat craft cocktail bar).
“The rum and molasses bitters provide depth and sweetness, and the rye gives it a bit of bite,” Pearson says. If you sidle up to the bar in Detroit, this cocktail is served with a spritz of a tobacco-forward leather fragrance spritzed on the cocktail napkin.
