Hello ladies and gents this is the Viking telling you that today we are talking about !!
Happy London
Barbecue, Brasserie, British, Burgers, North African· ££££ · · 3 Reviews
Based in what used to be TGI Fridays' big Piccadilly branch, Happy is the first UK outpost of the Bulgarian chain, which has 20 restaurants in Bulgaria and another two in Barcelona. Offering a menu of crowd-pleasing favourites, Happy is an affordable and family-friendly spot which is conveniently located in the heart of the West End. This means that it's a particularly good option if you're looking for a quick dinner before going to the theatre that will suit everyone's tastes. Equally Happy is a fantastic spot for celebrations with large groups of friends.
The huge restaurant has very relaxed feel to it with décor reminiscent of an American diner. Banquettes are upholstered in bright red velvet, mirrors line the walls, and a swanky bar sits of one side of the dining room. Happy's dining room also plays host to some greenery, including a large tree, which gives the space an added vibrancy.
The restaurant's lengthy menu begins with a series of tempting starters including truffle arancini, homemade guacamole with tortilla chips, beef nachos, and BBQ chicken wings. We suggest picking a few of these to share. Next comes a selection of burgers including Happy's signature broken burger which comes torn apart so you can easily access the juicy patty.
Other main courses range from charcoal grilled chicken served on a variety of different sauces, a number of different steaks, and seafood options such as teriyaki salmon. Finally, there is a short dessert menu featuring favourites like chocolate brownie and New York baked cheesecake.
In terms of drinks at Happy, there is everything from classic cocktails and draught beers, to wines by both the glass and bottle and even English sparkling wine. For non-drinkers, there's a choice of homemade lemonades and freshly squeezed juices as well as the standard selection of fizzy drinks.
And as always have a chilled day from the Viking
