VERY INTERESTING: UTAHRAPTOR

Hello ladies and gents this is Dino Lou talking about

UTAHRAPTORS

Utahraptors lived 129.4 to 122.46 million years ago and fed on large dinosaurs such as the contemporary iguanodons and therizinosaurs using its sickle-shaped claws to attack and rip apart its prey. The claw itself was 9.5 inches!

Utahraptor was found the year that Jurassic Park came out 1993 and gave scientific credence to the large-sized raptors in the movies. It's just that they are really Utahraptors not Velociraptors! Ironically when asked Spillburg if he would have changed the name if he knew. He said he would have gone with the scientific name but at the time nobody knew and with Jurassic park they are genetically manufactured dinosaurs so the Velociraptors wouldn’t look like they are supposed to.

This massive killing machine was a huge 20 feet long at an adult age! Standing 5 feet tall! It weighed a ton that’s the same as a polar bear! It is to date recognised as the largest of all raptors. Where it lived it had no enemies and was the top carnivore for its ecosystem! With its size it didn’t hunt packs like it's smaller relatives as its size made it just perfect for taking out its prey single-handed.

UNLESS!!

It was taking out the migrating large sauropods! Utahraptor was the most intelligent animal in the world! From the evidence of its relative another large raptor called. Deinonychus it suggests it may have been a pack hunter. As it is thought that packs of Deinonychus hunted 30-foot-long relatives of the iguanodons, it is easy to envision a  pack of Utahraptors taking on a 50-foot Therizinosaurus, the iconic long-clawed huge herbivore.

and as always have a chilled day from Dino Lou
