FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDYS

Five Nights At Freddys franchise is one of the most popular games in the world, its fans ranging from the young all the way up to the Edley.

The game was invented on PC by a man named Scott Crawthon back in 2014 but had revealed he had been working on it since 2000. The game series is about a chain of restaurants mainly pizzerias that use animatronics to sing and play instruments for kids. Sounds simple and friendly but it is fair from it.

Five Nights At Freddys or commonly known as FNAF is not for the light-hearted as it is a horror-based jump scare game that keeps you on it toes. 

The back story to the game series is one of the biggest in depth lore's in the gaming world and is one of the main reasons that there are lots of fans of the franchise.

There are 7 main games in total that follow the main timeline of its lore.

However, there are many side games still relating to the main timeline and many littler mini games that are about the main animatronics but have no relations to the timeline whatsoever.

FNAF is about when 2 friends William Afton and Harry Emily both worked for a computer company in the 80s and decided to make a pizzeria but with the main entertainment being animatronics that they created to sing and bring joy to the children who came. However, the computer coding within the Anomatronics had a dark side to it. Believing anybody after 12am to 6am was an anomatronic skeleton out of its furry fluffy shell and so the robotic nightmares would take whoever they met and pushed them into an empty costume,  closing it. The spring and cog system inside would kill the person within the suit.

As the player in game 1and 2 you are a security guard doing the night shift who has to stay in the office at all times. Overlooking restaurant using cameras, using electric doors, vents, mask and audio traps to stop the animatronics from getting at you. 

However, the story is not that straight forward and from game 3 and onwards the games are different due to the very dark backstory. Which contains murder, deception, death of children, secrete bases, coma night terrors and PTSD. 

Scott Crawthon has one of the largest spins off fan bases there are in the world containing books, games, boardgames, fan made series, fan made movie and even fan made music. 

For many years Scott has teased the idea of making the game into a movie, but it needed to be perfect. When a script was given to Scott over the idea of FNAF he didn't like it, finding it not scary enough. This then became Willy Wonderland in 2021, directed by Kevin Lewis starring Nicholas Cage. 

HOWEVER, for those who are interested to see this dark gory game into a movie, 1 week ago Universal Pictures released the Five Nights At Freddys official trailer coming out this year. 

So, hang onto you seats because when this hit the screen it is meant to give you nightmares.
