Activity description

If you like scuba diving and you are one of those who enjoy a unique return in the middle of nature, Amettla de Mar is a place you should not miss.

A virgin spot on the Mediterranean Coast

Amettla de Mar is a small coastal town in the Catalan province of Tarragona. It is located in the vicinity of the Ebro Delta, a wonderful enclave within our geography, which houses more than half of the birds registered within the Iberian Peninsula.

The coasts of this beautiful town, extend for 16 kilometers and have 30 coves and beaches to which more beautiful and that combine pine forests, with fine sand and transparent waters. We can also find a huge marine biodiversity, seeing from starfish or octopus, to lobsters and sea urchins.

Small, but with a place in history

The fishermen have been the inhabitants of this place over the years, since fishing is the main activity, gastronomy being one of the main dishes (never better) of Amettla de Mar.

If you like history, you have to know that of the ship called Cavour. This ship, sunk in 1917, is only 2 miles from the coast and 50 meters deep. It houses a large number of marine fauna ... although it is only one of the many ships that were shipwrecked in the vicinity of the Gulf of Sant Jorge.
