The streets of London are loaded with a plethora of things to do but what about what's going on underneath them? And no, we don't just mean the Tube whizzing about under our feet, we're talking about an actual hidden, underground, spa.

Below the Strand, tucked away from the tourist-traps amongst Covent Garden lies an incredible cave of relaxation. AIRE Ancient Baths opened in London last summer with a range of thermal baths.

Treating you to the experience of Ancient Roman bathing, this spa in a historic London building could be the perfect place to escape the city buzz for a few hours without ever leaving the capital.

AIRE Ancient Baths is found on Roberts Street in a Grade II listed building originally built in the 1700s. Once the home of Peter Pan writer, J.M. Barrie, this street now hides the underground thermal baths to create the ultimate spa escape.

Below this historical area, you can enjoy a 'journey of relaxation' around the candle-lit caves of baths of different temperatures. Float in the Caldarium hot bath at 40 degrees Celsius, dip in the Frigidarium ice bath at 10 degrees and lay back in the Balneum, the Bath of Thousand Jets.

and as always have a chilled day from the Viking
