QUASI WAR
We rejoin the Bar ol Smoky pouring a drink for a man who is sodden wet he looks up like some extra from a pirate movie dripping seawater everywhere his brace of pistols at his belt. Old smoky says alright fella whats your story.
The Year is 1800 the sea is calm the sea a deep blue the black flag is raised the french are back because of the national debt well thats what cap said. Our little ship the Chesapeake bristled with cannon she was a real beaut our 18 and 32 pounders shinning in the sun as the might of the french army comes towards us we shoot fire trying to sink the lil baguette people to the bottom of the Atlantic.
We were armed with what my buddy would call Long rifles they changed the game we had a lad called pete who could shoot a coin from 200 yards
The food onboard was the sam as our grandpapies if not worse, my teeth were left in the biscuit and the salt pork running with maggots but the beer helped alot on thoose long boring nights on patrol till we spotted the little frenchies going over the horizon and we chased them.
A few days later we found the baguette people and captured them they didnt seem to worried about it they escaped shot me and threw me off the boat from where i sunk to the bottom of the sea
